Etihad Airways
has launched flights between Abu Dhabi and the Indonesian capital Jakarta.
“Etihad is delighted to be launching this new service to Jakarta, it is welcome news to both our business and holiday Guests, as well as our cargo
customers. We anticipate strong demand for this new route and look forward to building greater ties with our friends in Indonesia,” said Ian
Ferguson-Brown, Head of Brand Management and Communications, Etihad Airways.
The new
service to Jakarta, operated initially with one of the airline’s new Airbus A330-200 aircraft, will further boost the cargo capacity by adding around 200
tonnes of cargo space per month, in each direction.
Etihad
now flies to Jakarta four times a week, with EY 423 departing from Abu Dhabi International Airport at 01:45 and arriving in Jakarta at 13:30 local
time.
On the return flight, EY 424 departs from Jakarta at 15:20 arriving in Abu Dhabi International Airport at 20:45 local time.
