as the airline also flies to Bangkok, Hatyai, Phuket, Chiang Mai and
Krabi.
Tiger Airways CEO, Tony
Davis, said, “We are pleased to launch our low fares service to Udon Thani as it is an important transportation and communications hub for northeastern
Thailand. Travelers also use it as a transit point to visit the Laotian capital of Vientiane which is just an hour away by road. Tiger Airways is the
only airline with direct scheduled flights between Singapore and Udon Thani. With Tiger Airways’ affordable low fares, we are confident that this
new route will increase the commercial and tourism ties between Singapore and Thailand and is further testimony to the positive benefits of the
Open Skies policy adopted by the two countries.”
Tiger Airways
recently increased its flights for the winter season between Singapore and the Thai
cities of Bangkok, Hatyai, Krabi and Phuket. This additional service to Thailand will see the airline operating 138 flights each week between the
two countries.
