Hong Kong Express Airways
has reported its passenger traffic figures for the period 1 August 2006 to
31 August 2006.
Despite the number of flights operated by Hong Kong Express Airways during August dropping slightly from 377 to 345 as the result of weather
conditions around the region, the airline reported its third consecutive monthly increase in passenger totals. Recording a near 10% (9.5%) jump in the number of passengers over the previous month, Hong Kong Express Airways carried 15,218 passengers during August
- a new high for the airline.
Hong Kong Express Airways CEO, Andrew Tse said, “Growth over the past months has indicated that we are on the right track in terms of our
approach and reflects our potential as an airline now at one year old to expand further.”
The airline currently operates services to seven destinations in Mainland China and south east Asia and has recently received approval to fly to
five more cities in China – Chengdu, Nanning, Wuhan, Jinan and Yantai.
