Tiger Airways offers more Flights between Singapore and Thailand

Tiger Airways is offering more flights to the popular Thai destinations of Bangkok, Hatyai and Krabi in response to increased demand. Sales started today with fares starting from Sin$29.98 /THB805 (one way excluding taxes and fees).

The Singapore-based low cost airline will also be adding three additional flights to its Singapore-Bangkok route starting from 19 August 2006 (currently 11 flights weekly); two additional flights to its Singapore-Hatyai route from 14 August 2006 (currently seven flights weekly); and two additional flights to its Singapore-Krabi route (currently four flights weekly).

“Tiger Airways is proud to fly to more destinations in Thailand from Singapore than any other low cost carrier. The Thai aviation policy of Open Skies has made this possible and it has resulted in a big boost to business and tourism between Singapore and Thailand. The growing demand has encouraged us to add even more flights from August to these hot destinations,” said Tiger Airways CEO, Tony Davis.

The additional flights to Thailand will fly more than 100,000 passengers between the two countries. This closely follows the recent increase of Tiger Airways flights between Singapore and Phuket, which began 1July 2006. Thailand is our Tiger Airways largest market with 34 flights per week currently operating between Singapore and Thailand. With the additional flights, Tiger Airways will operate 41 flights per week between the two countries.
