The Board of Directors of SAS
has appointed Mats Jansson as its new President and CEO. Mr. Jansson is 54 and was most recently
President and CEO of Axel Johnson with sales of some SEK 43 billion and 14,000 employees in 25 countries (2005).
The Johnson Group works in areas ranging from distribution of consumer products to industrial production.
"Mats Jansson is a leader with documented skills and experience of both the consumer and business-to-business sectors. He is accustomed to
working in sectors characterized by major changes. He is an energetic, motivated, secure and open person. The Board is unanimous in its view
that he is the right leader to continue developing SAS," said Egil
Myklebust, Chairman of the SAS Board of Directors.
Mats Jansson will begin his employment with SAS 1st January 2007.
