Pierre Perusset has been
appointed Managing Director of The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta and JW Marriott, Jakarta. In his new role, he is responsible for the
operations, sales and marketing and development of two hotels.
A veteran of the hospitality industry, Mr. Perusset has over 28 years of experience spanning four continents in the luxury hospitality business with
companies such as the Peninsula and Four Seasons before joining The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka, Japan in 1999.
Prior to his appointment as the opening general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta in 2005, Mr. Perusset was the general manager of The
Ritz-Carlton, Doha in Qatar. Named General Manager of the Year in 2004 by the Middle East Hotelier Magazine in 2004, Mr. Perusset achieved a 95%
employee and guest satisfaction rating based on a survey conducted by research and consulting firm Gallup during his tenure in Qatar. The hotel
has also won Best Overall Service and Best Conference and Banquet Facilities in the Middle East by DEPA award in 2004, and Spa of the Year 2004
by Middle East Hotelier Magazine.
A native of Switzerland, he is fluent both written and spoken in English and French.
Mr. Perusset received his degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, Switzerland, graduating with honors in
1998. He also holds a Commerce and Language Diploma from Ecole Roche, Lausanne, graduating with honors in 1985.
