Dr.
Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth, Chairman and CEO of Bangkok Airways and Patrick Alexandre, Executive Vice President International
Commercial Division, Air France, recently signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation between the two airlines.
The agreement should come into effect during the 2007/2008 winter schedule, subject to government approval and IOSA
(IATA Operational Safety Audit) certification being granted to Bangkok Airways. This partnership would benefit Air France customers who would
be able to fly from Paris to Bangkok with Air France and have access to a number of destinations in Thailand and
South East Asia via flights operated under an "AF" code by Bangkok Airways.
Bangkok Airways has been a partner airline of the Air France and KLM Flying Blue frequent flyer programme since June 2005. Moreover,
at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi
Airport, Air France's passenger and ramp assistance services are handled by BFS (Bangkok Flight Services, a
subsidiary of Bangkok Airways).
