Acclaimed as one of the world's top hotels for business and leisure and prized for its spectacular views, InterContinental Hong Kong has just completed the creation of
one of Asia's most spectacular Presidential Suites. At 7,000 square feet, the 5-bedroom Presidential Suite is
among the largest in Hong Kong. The suite was constructed at a cost of US$2.5 million and took 253 days and 76,120 man-hours to build.
The Presidential Suite has a Duplex living room with 2-storey plate-glass windows showcasing the hotel's panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and
Hong Kong Island. Most spectacular is the suite's expansive wrap-around harbour view terrace (2500 sq. feet) with a rooftop infinity swimming pool
and Jacuzzi overlooking the harbour. The dining room, master bedroom and bathroom and private gym also have panoramic harbour views. The
suite also has a private study and kitchenette.
"We have created a one-of-a-kind suite which showcases our hotel's unique assets, our wonderful location and fantastic view," said Jean-Jacques
Reibel, InterContinental Hong Kong's Managing Director. "There is a demand for this type of Presidential Suite, one that offers an extraordinary
range of facilities and services."
The Presidential Suite will cost HK$87,000 (approx. US$11,183) per night, inclusive of 24-hour personal butler service, roundtrip airport limousine
service by guests' choice of Phantom VI Rolls Royce, Bentley or Mercedes limousine, plus access to Club InterContinental (Executive Lounge),
wireless high speed broadband internet access and personalized concierge services.
Accommodating up to 36 for seated dinners and 60 for cocktails, this will also be one of the most
exclusive venues in Hong Kong for intimate private events.
InterContinental Hong Kong appointed Lim Teo + Wilkes Design Works
of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Milan to design the Presidential Suite, the crowning jewel of the hotel's US$40+ million refurbishment project ensuring the property as the Asia Pacific flagship hotel for
InterContinental Hotels Group.
LTW Design Works was also commissioned to design the hotel's two new specialty suites, the CEO Suite and
Terrace Suite, both with large outdoor terraces and Jacuzzis overlooking Victoria Harbour as well as oversee guest room renovations, the most
extensive in the hotel's 25-year history.
