Travel News Asia Tuesday, 12 September 2006

Gulf Air is moving its Riyadh office to spacious new premises, which will be inaugurated today, 12 September 2006.

Gulf Air already has dedicated offices in Dammam and Jeddah with four branch offices in Makkah, Medinah, Yanbu and Qassim.

The new office is located in the city's prominent commercial area, Olaya, opposite King Fahd Medical City.

"Saudi Arabia is a very important market for Gulf Air and, thanks to the excellent co-operation we receive from Saudi Arabian authorities and our collaboration with Saudi Arabian Airlines, we are now able to offer better services to our customers through our seven offices in the Kingdom," said Gulf Air Vice President Marketing and Sales Lee Shave.

Gulf Air registered a 26.5% growth over last year in its out bound sales from Saudi market and the trend is expected to continue.

"Gulf Air has been witnessing a healthy upward growth in its business in Saudi Arabia over the years," said Gulf Air Vice President Network Fareed Al Alawi.

Saudi Arabian Airlines is our long standing codeshare partners together with whom we fly to several destinations in the Kingdom and to Far East destinations such as Bangkok. The co-operation between us is exemplary, which is evident from our more than 45 code-share flights a week.

"Besides, our General Sales Agent for Saudi Arabia Kanoo Travel has vast experience in the market, which is a great strength to Gulf Air."
