The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) – Asia,
recently appointed Ms. Charlene Eng as its new Regional Manager (South Asia).
Ms. Eng, who is based in Singapore, will
be devising new strategies to increase SATC’s share of the outbound Asian
regional tourism market, maximize brand recognition and drive further market penetration.
Ms. Eng is no stranger to the tourism industry. She has extensive experience in tourism marketing, having worked ten years in the Hong Kong
Tourism Board’s consumer and trade marketing division. She displayed notable success during this period in managing several key marketing
campaigns. She also has experience in developing strong brand awareness and recall in the region and possesses a good knowledge of
Southeast Asian market conditions.
Ms. Eng holds a double degree in marketing and advertising from the Curtin University of Technology. She replaces Ms. Selena Oh, a veteran of
eight years with the SATC.
