More time has been given to the labour dispute negotiations between Finnair and its cabin crew. The Finnish Ministry of Labour, on the state negotiator's proposal, has
postponed the start date of the possible strike by two weeks. If a settlement is not reached between the parties during this time, the strike would begin on 26 March at 4am local time.
The parties
are continuing to negotiate closely on finding a solution in the dispute so a strike can be avoided. The strike would cause disruptions in passenger and cargo
traffic even though Finnair has said it would aim to operate as many flights as possible.
