Six Senses Resorts & Spas have introduced
a tree-house in the Maldives as part of its unique Jungle Reserve at Soneva
Fushi.
The Jungle Reserve at Soneva Fushi covers a footprint of 700 square metres and comprises a beachfront villa with the Soneva signature Robinson Crusoe ambience
and a large luxurious open air private garden bathroom. An elevated walkway leads from the villa to a pavilion with two luxurious day beds and
direct pool access. On the other side, there is a bathroom with a steam-room and spritz shower, plus a rain-shower and bathtub in a private garden. The living room area has a dining table
and chairs, and a personal entertainment system, which is in addition to the system in the main villa. The area can be opened on three sides so as to enjoy the island
zephyr. There is also a private wine chiller.
Further along the walkway is a Spa Suite offering an open-air treatment room with 2 massage beds, and an air-conditioned gym.
The footbridge elevates to 2.5 metres above the ground as it reaches the tree house, which features bunk beds and a day bed that can be made up for a third person.
The tree house also has its own toilet, plus a terrace looking out through the tree tops. This wonderful little hideout is ideal for children, or those who like a little fantasy
in their adult life.
The ultimate fun feature is a water slide that plunges from the tree house to the 300 square metre private pool that wraps around the villa in a half-moon free-form shape.
A second tree house will also be added to villa number 65 – Soneva Fushi Villa Suite - with the same features as the Jungle Reserve tree house, including a water slide
into the villa’s private pool.
Soneva Fushi Resort is located on the private island of Kunfunadhoo, one of the few islands that is rich with vegetation and where sandy bicycle pathways meander
beneath a jungle-like canopy. The island extends almost one and a half kilometres by half a kilometre and is located in the northern Baa Atoll – a 25-minute exhilarating
sea plane trip from the International Airport of Male.
