Hertz Saudi Arabia has readied itself for an anticipated rise in demand for car hire by adding new cars,
a number of GMC Suburbans, to its fleet as the Kingdom opens its borders to record numbers of
Hajj pilgrims.
Safir Islam, General Manager of Hertz Saudi Arabia, said: “We’re continuing to expand our fleet as our goal is to provide our customers with the right choice of new
vehicles. The Suburban occupies a special place in the heart of Saudis and we have gone one step further, these are not your average Suburbans – they are the fully
loaded top of the line 6.0 litre V8 version with bucket seats, sunroof and DVD players.”
The arrival of the new cars is particularly timely as it coincides with the start of the Hajj period, a season which typically sees significant demand for such vehicles. “We
have already started taking reservations from embassies, consulates and pilgrimage organizers who want to offer their guests a little bit more comfort during Hajj,”
added Islam.
