Pegasus Solutions adds Exodus Globe as New Distributor in India

Pegasus Solutions has reached an agreement with Exodus Globe Travel & Hospitality Solutions to integrate Pegasus’ electronic distribution service and PegsTour service into its own applications and solutions. Exodus Globe is a leading distribution and procurement technology company for hospitality and travel technology solutions in India.

Exodus Globe will roll out ExoCentral, ExoDirect and ExoAgent by the end of the third quarter of 2005. ExoCentral is a business-to-business application that will power hospitality solutions for both the travel industry and corporations in the Indian subcontinent. ExoDirect is a policy-compliant, corporate travel booking solution, as well as wireless applications, that will integrate with the Pegasus online distribution environment. ExoAgent is a travel agency modular application that enables agents to plug in real-time booking solutions with shorter or no waiting periods. The application is powered by the Abacus WebConnect, for air and car products, and hotel reservations are powered by Pegasus. ExoAgent enables agencies to upload their private fares and hotel-negotiated rates integrated with real-time booking capabilities.

“In India, 2005 trends indicate growth in occupancy and rates,” said Zubin Bilimoria, chief executive officer of Exodus Globe. “Exodus Globe will launch solutions powered by Pegasus’ technology that will bridge various gaps that currently exist within the travel industry in India. Our solutions will reduce costs, energy and time, and thereby help our customers with a faster turnaround time.”

Additionally, Exodus has been appointed by Pegasus as an Authorized Sales Agent in India to sell and support Pegasus’ services to travel agencies and other travel distributors. Exodus will promote the Utell by Pegasus member hotels to travel agents in the region and will sell Pegasus services, including PegsTour and Pegasus Commission Processing.
