KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
has confirmed that Cees van Woudenberg (56) will be appointed to the Air France–KLM holding organization and will join Air France’s Comité Exécutif as of July 1, 2005. As a consequence, Mr. Van Woudenberg will resign as Managing Director
and Chief Human Resources Officer of KLM. In his new role he will report directly to Jean-Cyril Spinetta, Chairman of Air
France-KLM.
“Cees van Woudenberg has contributed a great deal to KLM since he joined our company in 1989. He has been instrumental in achieving results in many areas,
including the different cost cutting programs KLM has implemented in recent years. Van Woudenberg also contributed to the Strategic Management Committee of Air
France–KLM and he will continue to do so in his new role”, said Leo van Wijk, President & Chief Executive Officer of KLM and Vice Chairman of Air
France-KLM.
Following Mr. Van Woudenberg’s resignation, the KLM Board of Managing Directors will consist of three statutory board members. Most of Mr. Van Woudenberg’s
current responsibilities will be divided among the three remaining board members.
