Amadeus has signed an agreement for the distribution of Singapore based Jetstar Asia’s flight and fare information to travel agencies. Jetstar Asia flights are now
available for booking and sales through the Amadeus System.
The agreement makes Amadeus the first global distribution system (GDS) to allow the airline’s flight information and content to be made available to tourism
professionals in Asia Pacific.
"With the growth of the Asian aviation sector, we identified distribution technology as a key tool to transforming the way we do business. We chose Amadeus because it
will enable us to provide our customers with higher levels of service, increase our revenues and yield, as well as implement new initiatives and reach out to customers
not previously available to us, thereby securing and supporting our business expansion,” said Ken Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of Jetstar Asia.
"Given our expansion, we recognised the need to increase our distribution channels and reach a greater number of passengers,"
added Mr Ryan.
