Six Senses Resorts & Spas highlights future developments

Six Senses Resorts & Spas have launched a new group directory that highlights the group's expansion plans over the next three years. New developments will occur throughout the group, in all brands: Soneva Resorts, Evason Hideaways, Evason Resorts and Six Senses Spas.

Evason Hideaways, the boutique brand that was introduced just over one year ago and already numbers three properties – Samui and Hua Hin in Thailand, and Nha Trang in Vietnam – are under development on Koh Yao Noi, Thailand, and Zighy Bay, Oman.

Evason Hideaway at Yao Noi is being developed on the island of Yao Noi in Phang Nha Bay – between Phuket and Krabi. It will comprise 53 pool villas and suites with a targeted opening date of late 2006. Evason Hideaway at Zighy Bay is located in the Sultanate of Oman’s northern Musandam Peninsular and will offer 85 pool villas and suites. It is scheduled to open in mid 2007.

Soneva Resorts, with the company’s flagship property - Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili in the Maldives, are venturing into new territory, with the development of Soneva Kiri in late 2007. Located on Koh Kood, an island in the east of Thailand, the initial phase of the resort will be made up of 46 pool villas overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, and espousing the brand theme of Intelligent Luxury. In the following year, Soneva Nisi is planned to open on the Greek island of Milos. It will offer 60 pool villas integrated into the landscape and provide full personal privacy whilst overlooking the famous sea of the Cycladic archipelago.

Evason Resorts will introduce Ana Mandara Villas Dalat, in 2006. A unique development of seventeen restored French-style chateau from the 1920’s and 30’s. The resort is set in the rural highlands of Central Vietnam, and will preserve original design, décor and charm.

Six Senses Spas, a key element of Six Senses’ managed properties, began development and operating spas in host properties in the past year. These are currently in Dubai; Barcelona - Spain; Penha Longa - Portugal; Mauritius; and Porto Elounda - Greece. New Six Senses Spa locations to open over the next year include, Bodram - Turkey; Punta Cana - Dominican Republic; Doha - Qatar; and Sri Lanka.
