From
1 August 2005 the name of Finnair's Marketing Division, which is part of the Finnair Scheduled Passenger Traffic business area, will be changed to Commercial
Division.
"The two basic functions of Finnair's Scheduled Traffic are the Flight Operations and the Commercial activities. The markets and the competitive situation as well as the
service expectations of our customers are all constantly developing,"
said Chief Operating Officer, Henrik Arle.
"We are now renewing our commercial functions and at the same time we change the name of the Marketing Division by implementing the name Commercial Division.
The new name of the division better reflects the scope of activities. The new organisation reflects the increased international character of customers and the route
network. Internally the focus area is proactive result management. The new name represents a common practice within the industry globally."
The Commercial Division will include the following functions:
- network strategies and network management,
- revenue management and pricing,
- e-business development,
- global sales,
- brand and marketing communications and
- management of customer concepts.
Senior Vice President Mika Perho will lead the Commercial Division
from 1 August 2005, he reports to Chief Operating Officer Henrik Arle.
