“Domestic and international travel in China is growing rapidly with increasing affluence and consumer sophistication as well as more leisure time with the introduction of the five-day work week and government gazetted holidays,” said Carmen Lam, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Asia Pacific, InterContinental Hotels Group. “With a bigger and specialised team in place to generate demand for our 3,500 hotels worldwide, we will be able to capture the tremendous opportunities presented, drive growth in major market segments and revenue performance for the group from China,”

Reporting to William Lau, Director, Regional Sales, Asia Pacific, the team is made up of:

Carrie Chen, Sales Manager, Travel Industry & MICE: With over 12 years of experience and an extensive network of contacts in the travel industry in China, Carrie will be one of the key proponents in supporting the group’s development strategies in tapping China tourism.
