has appointed Linda Gaunt as its new Chief Executive.
Linda is currently the Deputy CEO and Director of Education and Training at the Australian Institute of Management
(AIM) SA Division. Linda’s experience and expertise includes over 15 years within the Association Management and Education and Training arena in South Australia.
As Director of Education and Training at AIM Linda manages the Registered Training Organisation providing
vocational education and training to the management community and she also oversees the AIM Graduate School of Business providing
post-graduate education. Linda also manages AIM SA’s Corporate Membership.
Linda’s more recent achievements have been:
- Finalist Telstra 2005 Business Women of the Year Awards
- Seeing AIM SA as a finalist 2005 Large Training Provider of the Year Awards
- Gaining $3.2m government funding toward a new management training facility in SA
- Overseeing AIM SA’s Higher Education Accreditation status
- Assisting AIM to develop 32 national training programs
Linda herself possesses a Graduate Certificate in Management, Graduate Diploma of Management and Masters of Business Administration studies. In the past she has
worked as a Life-line Counsellor and Supervisor in a volunteer capacity, whilst working full-time within the training industry. She also has a keen interest in
organisational governance. Linda is currently a member of the Steering Committee
which works toward the development and implementation of a Business Services Skills Body in
South Australia and is a mentor for the Royal Society of the Blind, Young Business Leader program.
Linda commences with MEA in
September.
