The
97-room Hotel Plaza Vendôme has joined Marriott International’s Renaissance brand portfolio in Paris, following the company’s purchase of all the
shares from Tuileries Finances SAS, which formerly owned and operated the hotel. The property has been rebranded the Renaissance Paris Plaza Vendôme Hotel. The
purchase price was not disclosed.
The
hotel which opened in 2003 is located on Rue Mont Thabor, and is a redevelopment of a 19th century lodging property. It is ideally located within a two minutes walk of the
exclusive Place Vendôme and the elegant Rue St. Honore and within walking distance of the Opera, the Louvre and
some of the city’s main luxury shopping areas.
In
celebration of the rebrand the hotel is offering an introductory rate of €460
per night.
“We are excited that this is the 200th hotel in our lodging portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Africa,” said Arne Sorenson, chief financial officer and president of
Continental Europe. “We’ve been developing hotels in the region since 1975 and are thrilled that this fine hotel is now in our system. It’s a perfect fit for our Renaissance
brand and the ideal choice for this historic milestone in our company.”
For dining and entertainment, the Renaissance Paris Plaza Vendôme Hotel offers Le Pinxo restaurant, a bar and lobby lounge. Recreational amenities include a
200-square meter health club offering a treatment room, exercise facility and sauna as well as an indoor swimming pool. Other amenities are a business center offering
an internet station, 24-hour room service, in-room mini-bar, and laundry/valet service.
Guest rooms offer flat screen televisions, CD and DVD players and high speed internet access.
