Radisson SAS Bosphorus Hotel has opened its doors to the first guests in Ortakoy, Istanbul. The newly built 120-room property combines the unique Bosphorus view -
one of the world’s most strategic waterways - with a modern and stylish design.
The hotel is built on the banks of the Bosphorus strait that joins the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea. With views of the sea and
one of the world’s largest suspension bridges, linking Europe and Asia, the new property is one of the most exclusive addresses in Istanbul.
The company already has two hotels in Turkey – in Ankara (opened in 2004) and at Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport.
Radisson SAS Bosphorus Hotel features 89 standard rooms, 20 business class rooms, 11 junior suites and two rooms for the physically challenged, the majority
offering views of the Bosphorus. Blending elegance and comfort, the rooms are decorated in a variety of contemporary styles with artwork wallpapers from
the various regions of Turkey. With the warm harmony of green, brown and orange colours, guests can feel completely at home. The guest rooms offer high-tech
interactive flat screen televisions and free broadband internet access is available in all guest rooms and public areas to hotel residents.
Philippe Pellaud, General Manager of the hotel
said, “Radisson SAS is well known internationally by its brand values and high service levels. We promise to provide
genuine warm hospitality with the renowned ‘Yes I Can’ attitude and aim to deliver ‘100% Guest Satisfaction’ by being a new and distinctive hotel choice for the city of
Istanbul.”
The mix of modern and stylish is created by the famous architecture and interior design company Metex. The designers have created
harmony between the
marble, wood and glass-work throughout the hotel. Decorated with brown, red and green colours, the ‘StarBoard’ Café Terrace and ‘Cruise Lounge’ Lobby Bar offer a
cosy environment and home comfort. The ‘Lodos’ Terrace, located on the fourth floor, offers
views of the Bosphorus during the summer period and can be
used for private events.
Additionally the hotel offers a Wellness and Beauty Centre with hair salon, Turkish Hamam, sauna, and solarium.
The hotel’s meeting facilities include two boardrooms, a presentation room and a 240-square metre main meeting hall, all equipped with the latest state-of-the-art
technology.
The hotel is walking distance from the famous shopping street of Ortakoy, close to the Congress Valley, major business centres and downtown Istanbul, and is only 15
minutes away from the old city boasting the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Besiktas Stadium and the Grand Bazaar. In addition the hotel has easy access by ferry to
the Asian side of the city.
