Qatar Airways is upgrading its Doha
- Singapore route with a new daily non-stop service operated by bigger capacity aircraft,
from 15 July 2005.
The existing service operates daily using an Airbus A300 with four of the flights flying via the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
With
the new daily non-stop service, passengers will benefit from a shorter
flight and experience Qatar Airways’ larger capacity widebody Airbus A330-200 aircraft,
which features a fully interactive inflight entertainment system in every seat.
The Singapore route will be operated in a two-class configuration of up to 247 seats in Economy and 24 in Business.
Earlier this year, Qatar Airways expanded capacity between Doha, the airline’s operational hub and capital of the State of Qatar, and Singapore from five-flights-a-week to
a daily service to meet growing demand from business and leisure travellers flying between Europe, the Middle East, and
South East Asia.
All the flights from Doha are late night departures, arriving
in Singapore in time for lunch in the city.
