The
Crowne Plaza North Beijing has been appointed as the Official Hotel for the 2005 Johnnie Walker
Classic to be held for the first time in Beijing, PR China. The Johnnie Walker Classic is
one of Asia Pacific’s premier Golf Events and will be taking place at the prestigious Pine Valley Golf Resort and Country Club, within 20 minutes drive from the
Crowne Plaza North Beijing on April 21-24.
The event has already attracted 4 of the World’s Top Nine Golfer’s. Among the top seeded golf players who will
be participating in the tournament are: -
• Ernie Els from South Africa ranked No 3 in the World, playing for the very
first time in Beijing
• Sergio Garcia from Spain currently ranked No 7
• Retief Goosen, from South Africa, the two-time 2 time US Open Champion ranked No 5 in the World
• Adam Scott, one of the 3 “young guns” of the event ranked at No 9
• Luke Donald from the UK ranked No 16 playing in his first Johnnie Walker Classic
• Zhang Lian-wei, China’s leading player
• Choi Kyung-ju, the Korean No 1
