AirAsia
has appointed Mr. Jean Chang as its new Executive Vice President - Greater China & North Asia.
Jean Chang will spearhead AirAsia’s operations in China and in North
Asia and will be part of a new regional set up based in Kuala Lumpur.
Jean Chang joined AirAsia from China National Aviation Corporation, the holding company of Air China and Dragonair in addition to an extended portfolio of
aviation related firms in China and Hong Kong. Prior to AirAsia, Jean had served on the Board and Executive Committee of many prestigious companies and trade bodies
such as LSG Skychef, Hong Kong Aircargo Terminal, China Aircraft Services, CAAC Holidays, Aviation Fuel Service Company, China Airport Investment Fund
and the Board of Airlines Representative.
Jean has an in depth knowledge of the airline and aviation related industry both in and outside China. He has over 20 years of experience in
aircraft sale and leasing, airport privatization and master planning, aviation portfolio investment and management. Jean also knows the tourism industry intimately, having served as Chairman of
CAAC Holidays.
