Air France flight AF 358, inbound to Toronto from Paris,
skidded off the runway and burst into flames while landing at Toronto Pearson Airport.
The aircraft, an Airbus A340,
had 297 passengers and 12 crew members on board. Everyone on board the jet was able to get off the
plane, and thankfully there were no
victims and just 22 passengers suffered minor injuries.
It
is the first major crash of an Airbus A340-300 since the model's first flight in October 1991.
