Virgin Blue’s international airline Pacific
Blue is launching two new routes over the next two days. The inaugural Auckland to Tonga flight
took off today and the first Auckland to Rarotonga flight takes off Tuesday 1 November.
Auckland to Tonga is a new destination for Pacific Blue and the airline will initially offer three direct flights a week as well as two direct weekly flights between Tonga and
Sydney.
The Auckland to Rarotonga
service will depart Auckland twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Pacific Blue CEO, Tony Marks said, “We have had great feedback from the special sale fares we put into the market on both the new Island routes, and this has been
reflected in the bookings. We hope this enthusiasm will continue and know that this can only help generate further tourism opportunities for the region.”
