KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
is to begin operating its own services between Schiphol and Billund, Denmark, at the start of the 2006 summer schedule. Until then, KLM will
continue to offer its passengers Amsterdam-Billund service via a code
share agreement with Sterling Blue.
KLM will launch thrice-daily roundtrip service between Amsterdam and Billund on Sunday, March 26. The flights will be operated by KLM cityhopper with a Fokker 70 in
a two-class configuration.
Billund is centrally located in Western Denmark and is home to the main international airport for the Jutland-Funen region. This modern airport annually handles around
2 million business travelers and holidaymakers traveling to and from cities such as Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg and
Esbjerg.
