Air Tahiti Nui, Tahiti Tourisme and Tahiti Nui Vacations visited Brisbane recently, as part of a programme to broaden marketing of the destination, and to further increase
bookings on the twice-weekly nonstop flights by the airline from Sydney to
Papeete.
Part of the promotion included a display in Brisbane's Queen Street Mall, with a performance by traditional Tahitian dancers, and a prize draw of Air Tahiti Nui flights plus
five nights accommodation at the Radisson Plaza in Papeete.
"Bookings from Queensland to Tahiti are continuing to grow, as the travel industry and the travelling public become more aware of Air Tahiti Nui, and the new access
which the airline offers to Tahiti," said Shelley Bickerstaff of World Aviation Systems, representing Air Tahiti Nui in Queensland.
From 31
October the new daylight saving schedule is introduced, shifting the departure time ex Sydney from 9.15am to 10.30am each Monday and Saturday, and making same day connections easier from interstate locations. Flying time to
Tahiti is just 7.5 hours from Sydney on Air Tahiti Nui's Airbus A340 aircraft.
