As an Official Partner of the German Football Federation, Lufthansa German Airlines has launched
a new football fan website, www.lh2006.com, to celebrate the football World Cup 2006 in Germany.
Featuring interactive quizzes and football games with return flights to Europe, a VIP trip to Germany vs Italy in March 2006 and Lufthansa football merchandise up for
grabs, football fans will also be able to download a World Cup Countdown screensaver and computer desktops. In addition, extensive information services providing
stadium information, results and tables will keep fans up to date.
Gabriela Ahrens, Lufthansa General Manager Australia,
said, “fans from across the world will next year travel to Germany to support their national teams, so we’ve launched
this site to help celebrate the world’s biggest football competition.”
Lufthansa has also had 30 aircraft specially painted with “football noses”, designed to welcome football fans from across the world to Germany and get in on the spirit of
the massive competition.
