Tamarind Village,
a stylish boutique hotel in Chiang Mai, recently appointed Ms. Preeya Pramukkul as
its new General Manager.
Ms. Pramukkul
previously held senior management positions at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and was a member of Four Seasons opening teams for resorts in India,
the Maldives and Chiang Mai. More recently she worked for Rosewood Hotels and Resorts in Japan and the United States and for Unilever Thailand.
Her extensive background in hotel development and human resource management will be a tremendous asset during the current upgrading of rooms and an intensive
staff training program that aims to establish Tamarind Village as Chiang Mai’s leading boutique hotel.
“Tamarind Village already enjoys a loyal clientele among both international and domestic visitors, and we would like to assure our guests that the redecoration is
intended to enhance, rather than alter, the unique charm and character of the hotel,” she said.
The hotel will remain open during the project, however all work will proceed at a discreet and considerate pace designed to minimize any possible
disturbance to guests.
There will be a short break for the Festive Season from the 20th December, 2005 to the 8th January, 2006, after which work will resume. When the project is completed by
October, 2006, the hotel will have a total of 37 rooms, two suites and a Spa all freshly decorated in a style that draws on the rich cultural heritage of northern Thailand’s
ancient Lanna kingdom for its inspiration.
