Reed Travel Exhibitions to launch new Magazine about Arabian Travel Market's exhibitors and trade buyers

Travel News Asia 28 November 2005

Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), organisers of the Arabian Travel Market, the Middle East’s premier travel and tourism exhibition, is to launch a twice-yearly magazine for the show’s exhibitors and trade buyers.

RTE has appointed trade publication Travel Trade Gazette Middle East & North Africa to produce the magazine – Premier – which is due out in February and September 2006.

“This will be a stylish publication that will continue to promote the exhibitors of Arabian Travel Market and keep the entire region in focus among our trade visitors, particularly our international trade visitors, throughout the 12-month cycle of the show,” said Chris James, Marketing Manager, Overseas Events, RTE.

Arabian Travel Market 2006 will run at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 2-5 next year.

“Premier will circulate to around 10,000 exhibitors and our top international visitors and will be distributed by post,” explained James. “This is not a show newsletter, it is an upmarket magazine and it is not about Arabian Travel Market but about its exhibitors.

“The magazine will speak to business people and appeal to their professional role but also their personal side. We intend it to carry strong photography so that it’s designed for the eye as much as the mind.”

Premier is the latest in a string of initiatives launched by RTE to further boost the profile of the award-winning Arabian Travel Market, which next year celebrates its 13th showing. Other initiatives include the upgrading of its website to deliver information in nine languages, expanded hosted buyer and seminar programmes, a brand new sponsorship agreement with AMEX and a three-year hosted buyer hotel deal with Hyatt International.

“In line with our commitment to partner the industry we serve, we are constantly reviewing ways of ensuring the Arabian Travel Market lives up to its reputation of being a real business-to-business driver with excellent return-on-investment for exhibitors.”
