Tiger Airways,
a Singapore based low cost airline, is to increase its number of flights
to daily between Singapore and Manila (Clark) using Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) in Clark
Field, Pampanga, Philippines from 30 July 2005.
”Many passengers have contacted Tiger Airways, frustrated that our existing flights are already full. We are delighted to offer our two additional flights to satisfy the
overwhelming demand for low fare travel in the Philippines,” said Tony Davis, CEO of Tiger Airways.
Tiger Airways has already noticed strong forward bookings for its flights to Clark in the June-July 2005 period, and is seeking approval for a further increase to operate
10 flights a week to Clark. The increase will allow Tiger Airways to carry more than 180,000 passengers to the Philippines in a year, bringing about economic benefits to
tourism and businesses in the region.
