Star
Cruises is launching two new fly-cruise packages from Singapore to Bangkok and Hong
Kong with its strategic partner Valuair. This is the second time that
the cruise company has offered such packages since the company’s tie-up with the low cost
airline.
The 5-night Bangkok/Ko Samui fly-cruise package includes an air connection from Singapore to Bangkok on Valuair with a two-night stay in the popular seaside resort
of Pattaya in Thailand, before embarking SuperStar Virgo for a 3-night cruise to Ko Samui and Singapore.
Two departures are planned for 19 June and 25 September 2005.
The Hong Kong fly-cruise package incorporates a 2-night stay on the island and a night’s cruise on Star Pisces with return air transfers on Valuair from Singapore. A
total of eight weekly departures have been planned on 6,13,20,27 May and 3,10,17,and 24 June 2005.
“The new packages are part of the ongoing efforts by both Star Cruises and Valuair to develop and expand on air and sea options that have come about as a result of
the formation of a strategic alliance between the two companies in December 2004”, said Mr. Chong Chee Tut, Star Cruises Chief Operating Officer.
“Vacationers can now enjoy a truly unique holiday experience which combines the popular tourist appeal of Bangkok / Pattaya and Hong Kong together with the
experience of cruising with Star Cruises”, he added.
Valuair’s Chairman, Mr. Lim Chin Beng
said, “Our first fly/cruise package was a success and the two new fly/cruise packages will help strengthen the relationship
between the two companies. This is also another positive step in developing Singapore into a major regional fly/cruise hub”.
