Jetstar Asia
launched flights between Singapore and Phuket yesterday, with a four times weekly service.
Launch fares start from S$30 for travel up to December 15th, with everyday low fares
from S$48. Jetstar Asia service 3K 517 will depart from Changi Airport at 7:05am arriving in Phuket at 7:45am
every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The return leg will depart Phuket at 8:45am, arriving in Singapore at 11:25am.
“Phuket is solidly back on the map. All indications point to an economy that has settled down and is ready to accept a new phase in its tradition as a great resort
destination. We’re pleased to be able to support this growth with Jetstar Asia’s service fitting perfectly with the Phuket brand,” said Mr Ken Ryan, CEO of Jetstar Asia.
Ms Eumporn Jiragalwisul, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand added, “We are very glad that Jetstar Asia made the decision to fly to Phuket. With the additional
flights, it will definitely help to bring in more visitors from Singapore and the Asia Pacific region to Phuket and its surrounding provinces, such as Phang Nga, Khao Lak
and Krabi, which will give the tourism industries there an added boost. The new flights are indeed timely to give the Andaman area a higher capacity for tourist arrivals in
the upcoming high season.”
