SilkAir
is to commence direct services between Singapore and Kuching, Sarawak in East Malaysia from 28 March 2005.
The scheduled
services to Kuching will be codeshared with Singapore Airlines (SQ) and will carry both airlines' flight numbers and designator codes. The four weekly direct services
will be operated with SilkAir's Airbus A319 aircraft, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and with its Airbus A320 aircraft every Saturday. Plans for the service to be also
codeshared with Malaysian Airlines (MH) are underway.
Flight MI 378 will depart from Singapore Changi Airport at 1840 hours and arrive at Kuching International Airport
at 2010 hours. The return flight MI 377 will depart from Kuching at 2120 hours and arrive at Singapore at 2245 hours on the same day.
