Tiger Airways,
a low cost Singapore based airline, is to launch new flights to Macau from 25 March, Ho Chi Minh City from 1 April and Hanoi
from 7 April, 2005. The airline will also fly a second daily flight to Phuket from 25 March, 2005.
Tiger Airways will operate five flights a week to Macau, four flights a week to Ho Chi Minh City and three flights a week to Hanoi. The second daily evening flight to
Phuket will fly thrice weekly, bringing a total of 10 Tiger Airways flights each week to Phuket. Ticket sales for
the new services will start on Thursday, 3 March 2005.
“Tiger Airways is excited to be Singapore’s only low cost carrier to be offering low fares for flights to Macau and Vietnam. This will strengthen the connectivity between
Singapore and these destinations and result in more business and tourism with both countries. Our increase in flights to Phuket also shows that our efforts to work with
the Tourism Authority of Thailand to bring back the tourists are paying off and reinforces our long term commitment to all of our routes,” said Tony Davis, CEO of Tiger
Airways.
