Rugby World Cup Sevens 2005 Rugby Outpost Shop opens at Hong Kong International Airport

Travel News Asia 2 March 2005

The Hong Kong Rugby Football Union today marked another milestone in its build up to the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2005 (18 to 20 March 2005) with the launch of its first ever Rugby Outpost Shop at the Hong Kong International Airport.

In response to increased international interest in this year’s Rugby World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong, the HKRFU decided to open an outlet, at departure hall level 6 near The Atrium store, in association with the leading airport retailer Nuance-Watson and with special support from the Hong Kong Airport Authority.

The Hong Kong Airport is one of the busiest airports in the region, ensuring that millions of international visitors will have their opportunity to see and buy the latest Rugby World Cup Sevens 2005 merchandise in the coming month alone. The Rugby Outpost will be open until end-March 2005.

The unique collectable line of official gear for the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2005 includes the new Melrose Cup Range, named after the trophy given to the winners of the Rugby World Cup Sevens. Other items include the Flags Tee, which features the flags of all 24 nations taking part in the battle for the Melrose Cup, as well as replica Hong Kong Team Jerseys, Weekender Gear Bags, Event Towels and more.
