To celebrate its opening, Mandarin Orientals first Hideaway Resort,
the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai has launched introductory rates starting from
US$295+++ per villa per night. This offer is valid until 30 September 2005.
Partially opened in December 2004,
the Mandarin Oriental Dhara, Dhevi Chiang Mai, is a luxurious holistic hideaway nestled in 60 acres of verdant tranquil grounds, located
ten minutes east of Chiang Mai International Airport and ten minutes from the city centre.
The luxurious design of
the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai, draws on the architectural and cultural influences of the historic Lanna Kingdom, dating back to the
end of the thirteenth Century. The resort is set amidst serene natural landscapes and expansive lawns overlooked by sacred Bo trees, a delightful Prayer Hall and
numerous picturesque Lanna-style buildings.
The resort currently features 64 villas that differ in style, from spacious golden-teak pavilions to enchanting rice barns. Several deluxe villas come with a private outdoor
Jacuzzi, plunge pool or swimming pool. Three deluxe 2 bedroom villas are also available each with their own private swimming pool.
There are, at the moment (2 March 2005), eight types of villas available with introductory rates ranging from
US$295+++ to US$1,600+++.
The
resort offers guests the ultimate in pampering through the Dheva Spa,
which integrates body, mind and spirit with a wide range of treatments
available.
While
at the resort guests may want to try their hand at the Oriental Culinary Academy
which teaches the art of Thai cuisine.
Guests can also luxuriate by the Loy Kham pool, a free-form swimming pool that looks over emerald paddy fields, while sipping drinks from the Loy Kham Bar.
Sumptuous cuisines can be savoured at Farang Ses a French Restaurant, Fujian
a Chinese Restaurant, and Le Grand Lanna Thai Restaurant.
