Singapore-based
low cost airline, Tiger Airways, is adding another new route to its expanding network, with services to Kolkata in India.
Flights to Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, will commence once formal approval has been received from the Indian Authorities.
Tiger Airways
plans to operate three flights a week initially to this popular Northeast Indian destination famous for being one of the main gateways into India. The city is
served by NSC Bose International airport.
This ancient city hosts some of the most fascinating tourist, cultural and religious sites in India such as The Botanical Gardens in Shibpur, Dakshineswar Temple, Fort
William, Nehru Children Museum, Nakhoda Mosque and Howrah Bridge.
Tiger Airways growing network already covers ten cities in the region: Singapore, Bangkok, Chiang
Mai, Hatyai, Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Macau, Padang and Manila (Clark).
Flights to Krabi, Tiger Airways’ 11th destination across Asia-Pacific, will commence on 7 October 2005 while pan-regional flights between Macau and Manila (Clark) will
commence on 30 October 2005.
