Key members of Hong Kong’s travel industry visited the Hong Kong Disneyland site today to experience first-hand the progress behind the first Disney theme park in
China.
Accompanied by executives from Hong Kong Disneyland, around 30 senior travel industry representatives including Mr. Howard Young, legislative councilor, Hong
Kong SAR Government, toured the Disney park and resort including the three themed lands, the two hotels, and the public transport interchange. They also received a
special preview at how the park’s many sights and feature attractions are coming to life.
The grand opening of the Hong Kong Disneyland is on September 12.
“The travel trade is an important constituent in our overall inbound distribution channels. They help us reach out to guests from all over the world and we treasure the
strong and mutually beneficial relationship we have with them,” said Roy Tan Hardy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Hong Kong Disneyland. “We are delighted
to be able to provide our industry partners with a first hand look at some of the magic behind Hong Kong Disneyland which is set to become the most popular family
vacation destination in the region.”
Ronnie Ho, Chairman of Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong said, “It was great to see that the construction progress of Hong Kong Disneyland is progressing
satisfactorily and I am confident that the park will be able to open on schedule.”
