Dubai's increasing popularity as a MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conventions and Exhibition) destination has been attracting
more than encouraging response from more and more international organizations,
creating a growing demand for promotional and marketing literature.
In order to meet this need, the Dubai Convention Bureau (DCB) at the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has launched the second edition of
its flagship promotional publication -The Definitive Meeting & Event Planner's Guide - at the ongoing Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings and Events
(IMEX-2005) in Frankfurt where the department is heading its biggest-ever delegation.
The DTCM Director General, Mr. Khalid A bin Sulayem,
said, “The highly-popular guide which has an initial print run of 10,000 copies is targeted at the MICE markets. It
will be distributed to the international meetings and convention industry decision-makers through the DCB-DTCM's network of 14 worldwide representation offices and
at international exhibitions, travel-trade presentations, road shows and other related events.”
The DCB Director, Mr. Awadh Al Seghayer, said the guide contains separate sections on Dubai as a business city, briefs on venues, accommodation, pre
and post event activities and a directory of professional services in Dubai.
