British Airways’ passengers departing Hong Kong
can now print out their own boarding passes.
The introduction of the Online Boarding Pass is part of British Airways’ latest drive to simplify the travel experience for its customers through sophisticated technology.
It will streamline the check-in process and further increase the facilities available to passengers which already include Online Check-in on the airline’s website
ba.com.
The Online Boarding Pass, complete with a unique barcode, allows passengers to by-pass conventional check-in procedures. In Hong Kong, customers can make use
of the British Airways Fast Bag Drop desk to have their Online Boarding Passes validated as required by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department. At the same time,
customers can drop their check-in baggage at the desk.
“Our passengers are already taking advantage of managing their bookings at their finger tips through the existing online services,” said Fernando Suarez, British
Airways general manager, Greater China and the Philippines. “The new online boarding pass service further indicates British Airways’ commitment to expanding the use
of sophisticated technology to provide time-saving and convenient travel experiences for customers in Hong Kong.”
