Finnair has informed tour operators that it will implement a 4.7 percent increase on leisure flights as of 1 June 2005.
The
airline stated that the increase is in accordance with contract terms and conditions and is a result of increased fuel costs. Fuel price has risen by over 35 percent from last September's
levels to which the contract was tied. Finnair said it would review the relation between flight prices and fuel expenses
on a monthly basis.
