The first Angsana Spa in Egypt
has opened in the Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna, a recreational resort with facilities
that include several restaurants, four swimming pools, a dive centre, kite surfing and an
18-hole golf course. The resort is located on the pristine holiday coast of Hurghada’s beachfront, along the fabled Red Sea of
Egypt.
Angsana Spa El Gouna is part of the internationally renown Angsana Spa brand by parent company Banyan Tree
Holdings.
The
Angsana Spa occupies 500 square metres at the Mövenpick Resort, boasting a total of 10 treatment rooms and a room for manicure and
pedicure. All of Angsana Spa’s unique Asian and specially created treatments are carried out in the single or double treatments suites, while 2 deluxe double
treatment rooms are equipped with spa baths, shower and steam rooms.
The Spa offers treatments that have been researched and developed by the Banyan Tree Spa Academy based in Phuket, Thailand, which also trains therapists for
Angsana Resorts & Spas.
In this sun-kissed paradise, treatments range from the specially created Angsana Massage, which uses palm strokes and thumb pressure to work on the body’s
pressure points and strengthen inner qi (energy). The Desert Sand Massage improves blood circulation with a combination of strokes and light percussion, with a
sand-filled linen pouch dipped in warm oil. Nefertiti’s Ritual is a new package inspired by Egypt’s Queen Nefertiti, which comprises three hours of relaxing spa bath
session, Waves massage, exfoliating scrub, and a cooling yoghurt splash.
In celebration of Angsana Spa El Gouna’s opening, guests of Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna
can enjoy up to 50% savings on a la carte massages from now until 31 December 2005.
Angsana Spa El Gouna is open for treatments daily from 12 noon to 8pm. Prices range from US$60 for a facial or massage, to US$85 for a full-body Essence of Angsana
package.
