St. Regis Hotel, Shanghai adds Additional Ladies Floor to satisfy Increasing Demand

Travel News Asia 18 April 2005

In response to the increasing demand from female travelers for safer and more female-friendly accommodation, the St. Regis Hotel, Shanghai has added an additional Ladies floor to cater to their needs.

The hotel now has three Ladies floors. The first two floors were launched two years ago after the hotel conducted an extensive research on what female travelers really want. “After the successful launch of the Ladies floors program, we have been receiving a lot of positive feedback from our female travelers and serving a rapidly growing number of female business travelers across the globe. Female travelers’ top priority is for safe, reliable and comfortable home away from home. When they find a hotel that appreciates and caters to their demands, they will stay there and come back again,” said Mr. Charles Abbott, General Manager of St. Regis Hotel, Shanghai.

In each guestroom on the Ladies floors, the St. Regis Hotel, Shanghai offers “ feminine touch” amenities, including Bvlgari beauty products, Evian facial spray, fashion magazines, potpourri, silk hangers, daily fresh fruits and flowers. Additional amenities such as hair clips, hairbrush, hair gel and nail polish remover are available upon request.

Also, St. Regis female butlers offer in-room check-in and attend to their needs during their stay. Butlers can also maintain a round-the-clock watch for in-house security, to make sure floors are accessible only to bona fide guests. Concierge staff can recommend safe dining options for single women travelers and proper attire for excursions and entertainment venues.
