Semi Finalists of the Miss Hong Kong 2005 beauty pageant visit Phuket

Following in the footsteps of the 2005 Miss Universe competition hosted by Thailand in May, the Laguna Beach Resort in Phuket recently played host to the semi-finalists of the Miss Hong Kong 2005 beauty pageant.

During their visit to the Laguna Beach Resort, one of the five deluxe hotels within the Laguna Phuket integrated resort complex, the 20 glamorous contestants were filmed and photographed enjoying and relaxing at the Resort’s Water Park. The video footage of the beauty queens enjoying their Phuket experience and also visiting Khao Lak, will be aired on TVB Hong Kong in mid-July during the lead up to the Miss Hong Kong 2005 final scheduled for August.

Prior to their arrival in Phuket, the semi-finalists also visited and filmed in Sri Lanka. Their objective is to positively focus on the recovery of these tsunami-affected tourism areas and promote to the Hong Kong market that these destinations are now back on their feet and more than ready to welcome tourists.
