British
Airways has said that its shorthaul schedule from London Heathrow should return to normal
today, Monday 15 August 2005, as the airline plans to operate 100% of flights.
The return to normal for UK and European flights is a day earlier than originally envisaged.
The longhaul programme is also returning to normal and
is expected to average just above 95% of flights for the next couple of days as crew operating hours, rosters, and
aircraft continue to get back into alignment.
Customers can
call 0800 727 800 for the latest flight information.
British Airways
stated that customers caught up in the disruption now have confirmed bookings on flights in the next few days.
All displaced bags at Heathrow
are being transited to their final destination to be reunited with their owners.
Flights will continue to have limited catering provisions onboard due to the ongoing industrial dispute at the catering supplier, Gate Gourmet.
British Airways is providing meal vouchers at check in or refreshments in the terminals.
