CCM Airlines,
a Corsican regional airline, has signed a contract for 6 new ATR 72-500 aircraft. With this order unveiled
Tuesday at the Paris Air Show, the airline will renew its fleet of ATR 72-200s
with the new generation ATR's.
The total value of the contract is over US $100M.
These ATR 72-500s will be the first ATR 72 aircraft of the –500 series new generation to be operated in the frame of a partnership between Air France-KLM and CCM
Airlines. They will fly essentially to Marseilles, Nice and Lyons from four Corsican airports.

a higher level of service on board and particularly in terms of comfort. This new contract evidences our satisfaction in the day-to-day operations with ATR aircraft and
demonstrates our willingness to build further upon our 15-year experience with
ATR.”
The six aircraft are scheduled to be delivered starting in late 2005 through mid-2007. The 70-seat ATR 72-500 aircraft will be equipped with the newest technological
innovations in the field of communications and navigation aid tools: Aircraft Communication Addressing & Reporting System (ACARS) and Multi-Purpose Computer
(MPC).
