Senior travel planners from some of the world’s largest companies are to meet in Hong Kong at a special Congress hosted by this year’s Business Travel Expo Hong
Kong.
The Congress of Senior Level Travel Managers on March 22 is an intense, day-long “think tank” for highly experienced travel buyers and managers which will examine
the latest corporate travel trends and practices. The Congress content has been devised by the NBTA (National Business Travel Association) and will be facilitated by
US travel management guru John Pifer.
John is Vice President of Management Alternatives, a leading US travel management consultancy group with extensive global involvement. He brings over 30 years of
professional travel management experience from both a supplier (airline and travel agency) and consultancy perspective to the event.
“We’re excited to be organising an event of this nature in Hong Kong for the first time. It clearly demonstrates the increasing maturity and sophistication of the travel
management industry in Asia,” said Paul Robin, Group Event Director of the Business Travel Expo.
The Congress programme includes seminars on the Evolution of Fee Based Transaction Buying, Formulating a Successful Tender (RFP) Program, Effective Contract
Negotiation and Assessing Travel Management Best Practices.
It is preceded by a networking, cocktail party on March 21 hosted by Hong Kong’s Langham Place Hotel, and on the evening after the Congress a dinner will be hosted
by WORLDHOTELS at The Eaton Hotel, Hong Kong.
Attendance at The Congress is free for qualified senior travel
managers. Interested parties should contact Stuart Bailey, Assistant Director of Sales, Asia Pacific, for Business Travel
Expo, Hong Kong on: +852 2121 1649 or email stuart.bailey@businesstravelexpo.com.
With a strong line-up of returning and new exhibitors, Business Travel Expo 2005 is expected to equal if not exceed previous attendances of top business travel buyers
from around the region – and the world.
